Sketchup

SketchUp is a 3D modelling computer program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, film and video game design.

The instruction below will help you to import our Mosa products in your Sketchup modelling software.

BIM prepare

Prepare

1. Select where to store the textures

  1. 'In Model'
  2. Default folder 'Tile'
  3. Or create a favourites folder.

Import

1. Export from the Pattern Generator and import into Sketchup

  1. Go to the Pattern Generator.
  2. Select a tile pattern.
  3. Go to the 'Export' menu.
  4. Pick a file resolution for Sketchup.
  5. Drag the .skm file into your project.
  6. Select the texture.
  7. Place it on a surface.

 

BIM prepare

Use

1. Change the position of the texture

  1. Select the surface and press right click.
  2. Select 'Texture', 'Position'.
  3. Drag the red pin to move the texture.
  4. Drag the green pin to rotate the texture.

2. Calculate quantities

  1. Select the surface and press right click.
  2. Select 'Area', 'Selection'.
  3. Press right click on the material 'In Model' in the material browser and press 'Area'.
